My two loves.

My parents are the two persons who brought me into the world and the ones who have raised me to be the person who I am today. Due to the facts that I have mentioned, I have a debt with them and they are my most admired family members.

In addition, both of them have qualities which have been taught to me. Because of them I have learned the importance of the family support and also the importance of being a loyal, generous and modest person.

To describe my mother, I would like to say that she a very beautiful person, with a huge heart who is always willing to help other people. She has no problem with putting others first. In my opinion, my mother has an outgoing personality and is so amusing and cheerful.

On the other hand, my father is also a very nice person with an enormous hart but he sometimes is a bit bossy. Although he is cheerful and amusing too, he is more shameful than my mother.  From my view point, my father is a little strict but very lovely.

Taking account the physic, I look more like my mother because although she has a beautiful jet black hair, we both have green eyes and curly hair. Furthermore, we have a similar body shape and the same features. However, if we take account the emotional part, I take after my father because we have an alike personality.

To sum up, I love my close-knit family and all the members who belong to it such as my two sister, and also my dog! I am so proud of all of them but the ones admired by me are my father and my mother.

In recente years. people have been talking about the statement of how adverts and commercials can affect society, specially to young people and, I agree.

First and foremost, some experts on advertising use techniques to influence people like hiring powerful figures such as top footballers or actors. Another technique is to use catchy jingles or songs, so that, people can remember the song and also the commercial. Different marketing strategies also include women or men's beauty to take the attention of the viewers; when you see TV adverts, most of the actors are good-looking.

In addition, some of these adverts make people spend money unnecessarily. For instance, people (mostly young) want to change their mobile phone when they see an ad promoting the new model of the same mobile phone. They also want to buy the product promoted in the commercial if they like the commercial in general (music, actor, the furnished, etc.).

Aded to this, there are adverts that can influence in a bad or in a good way. Action-packed ads can make young people’s behaviour change and to have a bad mood. This kind of commercials uses special effects to create an action atmosphere. The products promoted by action-packed commercials usually are cars, motorbikes, games, bikes, sport footwear and clothes, etc. An example of bad influence commercial is the ‘Call of duty’ game.

In a different position are the adverts which can influence in a good way. Among these adverts are those that promote organizations to donate money to the third world, food, drinks, etc. When you see a beautiful advert where people help other people you would also like to do it. Another example are the adverts which promote school material because you want to buy them and also study. A type of these commercials could be the one that announce the famous drink ‘Coca-Cola’ or also the ONCE.

In conclusion, adverts makers should be careful with the things they show in it because they can really influence the people.

Thesis statement: pollution.

       

In the next ten years, pollution will have increased if we do not try to overcome it. 

I can not die without visiting the Caribbean coast.

If I had to choose a place to visit in the future, I would pick out any beautiful island in the Caribbean Ocean, for example Puerto Rico.

I have seen a lot of programs about these almost untouched regions and about all the activities that you can practice there, such as snorkelling, swimming with dolphins, to get a tan, going sightseeing and other different sports in the swimming areas. I have also read any articles about the nice residents in Puerto Rico; they say that they are very similar to the Spanish people.

In addition, these paradisiac islands are famous because of their typical food and menus including rice, plantains, beans, cassava, cilantro (coriander), bell peppers, chickpeas, tomatoes, sweet potatoes or coconut. They usually use healthy and natural products from the sea and the local area.

I would like to visit Puerto Rico due to the fact that it is a very wild region with amazing animals and plans. Added to this, The Caribbean Ocean is the perfect place to go on holidays and just relax and enjoy.

I really recommend you to visit Puerto Rico because you will really love everything there.

Using technology (Opinion essay practice: something most people agree but you do not [corrected one])

Nowadays it is very usual to see people using their mobiles, laptops, cameras or other gadgets wherever they are. They do not care about if someone is talking to them or if they are in a place where these devices are forbidden.

First and foremost, using technological devices is not always wrong. As everything; it has advantages and disadvantages and it is a controversial topic. Some people think that it is confortable to use them while others do not.

Among the advantages we can find online shopping, to forward messages from any place and taking pictures or recording videos with hand and phone cameras. Furthermore, it makes easier to be in contact with people from other countries.

Concerning about me, I am against about using all of these gadgets. A disadvantage of using them is that they can be dangerous. For instance, we are used to hearing cases where children (and not only children) enter to chat rooms to talk to people who turn out to be a kidnaper or a rapist.

In addition, some devices such as mobiles or laptops can be hacked. This means that the person who hacked onto it can access to all the documents and info that we have in the gadgets.

Another problem of using technology is that the people who do it, can be absorved by the device. I know cases where they have lost their friends because of abusing of technology.

To sum up, although most people agree with using gadgets, I am against that because, even though we do not realise it, we overuse them. 

Describe your favourite place: The beach near my house.

The beach near my house is one of the best places to forget about the world and relax. A good thing of this beach is that it is just five minutes from my house and I do not need to get a car or a bus. It is located in La Manga del mar Menor, where I live. When you arrive, the first you see is a big beautiful stairs that go down to the beach. The atmosphere there is very peaceful and it is unusual to be crowded. It offers you a quiet surrounding to feel better if you had a bad day. I also like going there when I want to practise sport owing that it is a suitable place to do some jogging. In addition, this beach almost unspoilt is always clean without any rubbish or junk. Every time I go there I feel relaxed and lucky to have such a lovely place. 

Complex problem/solution about drinking at an early age (Practice)

Drinking at an early age is a problem very extended in our country and that should be overcome.

Drinking at an early age is a wrong habit that teenagers are adopting during the last five years. Nowadays, young people start drinking alcohol between 13 and 15 years old, being 18 the legal age. It is very usual to see boys and girls at that age having alcoholic drinks in parties or even in parks. The last summer, I went to a party and a girl younger than me drunk too much and needed to go to hospital.

This happens since teenager go out and drink to “have fun”. To overcome this problem, city halls could promote free activities for young people where they can go and spare time. A second solution could be education, due to the fact that through it, teenagers can know the disadvantages that alcohol can produce in their body and health. To solve this problem, schools and other organizations could do advertising campaigns to show young people what alcohol can cause (car accidents, death, lung diseases, etc.) A final answer could be to control the illegal sale of alcohol and to fine the people who do it.

To conclude, I believe that if we follow these measures, we might solve the problem that I have analysed and give a better life to the future young society.
